I agree that a short bench can hurt a team in the "long run". It may not hurt you in a game here or there, but over time bodies do wear down as the season progresses. Yes, they are in tremendous physical condition, but bodies need rest too.

I seriously think our bigger problem is how are we going to attack zone defenses? There were a handful of possessions against Purdue when they were in a zone and we had McCoy and Campbell up on the wings. They weren't even defended by Purdue. When Fox or Ohm are on the bench we cannot stretch the defense. This will be a huge hurdle for us to overcome.

Zone offense

Seems like when Purdue went into Zone, the best offense we had was when Korine was playing top of the key (point guard position)

Also one other thing, just have to quote the Purdue Head coach Sharon Versyp: “This was a great game. Minnesota is one of the top teams in the Big Ten right now. I’m glad we played at Minnesota early in the season, because this is one of the toughest places to play.
