THE METRO TOP 10

1. Lakeville North: The Panthers have three starters back, plus 6-3 junior transfer Apiew Ojulu from Rochester John Marshall.

2. Hopkins: The Royals are always in the mix, and Washington State signee Hana Potter leads another talented group.

3. Centennial: Experience from last year's 4A runner-up finish should pay dividends for the Cougars.

4. Chaska: Division I signees Brooke Brown (Northern Iowa) and Brianna Tisch (Denver) lead the Hawks.

5. Minneapolis South: With Tayler Hill in the starting lineup at Ohio State, Tigers will have a new look but lots of talent.

6. Benilde-St. Margaret's: 11 players are back from last year as the Red Knights look for a return to state.

7. Eastview: Nine seniors return for talented team that placed third in Class 4A last season.

8. Minneapolis Roosevelt: Shakila Boler and Suriya McGuire make the Teddies look like the team to beat in 2A.

9. DeLaSalle: The Islanders are tall, and the hiring of Faith Patterson as coach gives them a big boost.

10. New Prague: Trojans are 40-2 in Missota over last three years and looking for another great year.

I'll be televising the DeLaSalle-St. Paul Central game in the morning and Bloomington Kennedy-Minnehaha Academy game in the afternoon for those looking to get on TV.
